Talisha Carter-Moody is co-founder and co-owner of Exodus Consulting, Training & Wellness Services, LLC. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in working with adults, children and couples utilizing solution-focused techniques, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and trauma informed counseling. Ms. Carter-Moody also treats individuals with anxiety, depression and grief, as well as those going through life changes such as adjustment to illness, schooling, divorce and job loss. She has over 25 years of experience working with justice-involved offenders as well. She serves on the Ethics Committee for Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia.

Ms. Carter-Moody has a Masters in Community Counseling from Troy University. She has completed numerous trainings and is also a POST Instructor specializing in cognitive behavioral training, motivational interviewing, trauma, parenting and domestic violence. She has also implemented, designed, consulted, and provided oversight to multiple programs throughout Georgia and Alabama. She is an international speaker where she has provided her expertise on how to effectively manage the prison environment through evidence-based practices. She is a member of the LPCA of Georgia. 

Her counseling style incorporates cognitive behavioral with person-centered techniques and solutions focused motivational interviewing skills.  

Ms. Carter-Moody has a warm, supportive and collaborative approach which creates an atmosphere for relationships to be nurtured and clients to feel at ease as they work through life’s challenges. She believes that people can live out their best lives once they identify and change the thinking that is causing them problems.
